Pricing FAQ
What exactly does the $1,200 base fee cover?
The base fee covers all pre-site and on-site work up to and including 4 anchors: project preparation (reviewing your anchor schedule, drafting the independent test brief, and specifying load configurations per AS/NZS 5532), equipment preparation and calibration of all hydraulic testing gear, and engineer attendance on-site for the full testing session. Travel to and from your site is billed separately — see the travel question below.
Is travel included in the base fee?
No. Travel is charged at $200/hr (ex. GST) from Brisbane CBD, calculated on actual drive time to your site and back. The price calculator on this page estimates travel cost automatically once you enter your site address. For sites within inner Brisbane, travel is typically under $100. Regional or interstate programmes are quoted separately — use the "Request a Quote" option.
When is the report fee charged, and what does it include?
The $660 report fee applies per testing programme (one site visit or testing run). It covers the preparation of an engineer-reviewed, RPEQ-certified test report including: individual load–displacement curves for each anchor, pass/fail determination against the specified acceptance criteria, photographic documentation, and a signed engineer declaration. A draft report is typically issued within 48 hours of testing; the final signed report is issued within 5 business days.
What types of anchor testing are covered by the standard programme?
The standard fee structure applies to proof load testing (loading to a target multiple of the working load to verify compliance), ultimate load testing (loading to failure to determine actual capacity), and displacement monitoring programmes (cyclic loading with settlement readings). All testing follows AS/NZS 5532 for personal protective anchors and AS 3850 / AS 4678 for structural and soil anchors as applicable to your project type.
How does the deposit discount work?
Pay a $400 deposit (+ GST) at the time of booking to lock in a 5% discount on your total programme cost. The deposit is deducted from your final invoice, which is issued after testing is completed. The 5% saving applies to the full programme total — base fee, report fee, additional anchors, and travel.
What if I pay the full amount upfront?
Paying the full programme total before testing is scheduled earns you a 10% discount. Payment is processed securely via Stripe and a tax invoice is issued immediately. This option works well for straightforward programmes where the anchor count and site are confirmed — use "Request a Quote" if your scope is still being finalised.
How many anchors can be tested in a single visit?
A standard day allows for 15–25 anchors depending on test type, access configuration, and substrate. Proof load tests on roof anchors in clear conditions typically run faster than ultimate load tests on embedded structural anchors. When you book, you specify your anchor count and we allocate the appropriate time. Testing beyond the standard session is possible with advance notice — contact us to discuss.
Do I need a PO number to book?
Only if you choose the "invoice later" option. Upfront payment (deposit or full amount) via Stripe does not require a PO — you receive a tax invoice immediately after payment. For invoice-later bookings, a valid PO number or job reference must be provided before your test date is confirmed.
What happens if anchors fail during testing?
Failed anchors are documented in the test report with their actual load at failure and failure mode (weld, embedment, substrate pull-out, etc.). Our engineer will flag any systemic installation issues observed on-site and can advise on remediation options. Re-testing after remediation is treated as a new programme and priced at the standard rate, though travel is often reduced if we return to the same site within 30 days.
Can I get a custom quote for large or multi-site programmes?
Yes. For programmes over 50 anchors, multi-site visits, or interstate mobilisation, use the "Request a Quote" option. Provide your anchor schedule, site addresses, and target test dates and we will issue a tailored proposal within one business day. Volume pricing is available for ongoing inspection contracts.
Need a custom quote for 50+ anchors?
For multi-site programmes, interstate mobilisation, or high-volume testing, send us your anchor schedule and we'll provide a tailored proposal.
