What you'll achieve
- Identify and select correct test rig components (couplers, jaw sets, adaptors, bridges)
- Set up and perform proof and ultimate load tests in all orientations
- Select appropriate test configurations (confined vs unconfined) with correct support spacing
- Apply correct failure criteria from VicRoads, AEFAC, and BS 8539
- Set up and operate displacement monitoring equipment to ±0.02mm accuracy
- Understand and explain load relaxation vs actual failure
- Produce comprehensive test reports meeting AS 1170.0 requirements
- Derive proof loads and test quantities per VicRoads, BS 8539, and AEFAC guidelines
- Perform shear testing where required for masonry applications
- Understand equipment calibration requirements per AS 2193, ISO 376, and ISO 463
- Navigate NATA accreditation and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements for testing organisations
- Apply EN 1990 Annex D statistical methods for resistance determination from test data
- Integrate anchor testing into project ITPs with appropriate hold and witness points
- Know document retention obligations under state building legislation
