Hilti HIT-HY 200-R V3

The Hilti HIT-HY 200-R V3 is a hybrid injectable mortar (vinylester hybrid resin) designed for heavy-duty structural anchoring in concrete and masonry. It is one of the most widely specified chemical anchoring products in Australian commercial construction, carrying multiple ETAs covering concrete, masonry, and seismic applications.

Concrete (cracked and uncracked)Masonry (brick and block)Natural stone

HIT-HY 200-R offers a balance of working time, cure speed, and load capacity that makes it suitable for most structural anchoring applications. It can be installed in dry, water-filled, and diamond-cored holes, and performs in cracked concrete (ETA-assessed for cracked concrete up to 0.5mm crack width). The product's hybrid resin chemistry provides lower odour than pure epoxy systems while maintaining high bond strength.

The HIT-HY 200-R is one of the most common chemical anchors on Australian construction sites. Independent proof load testing verifies that each installed anchor has been correctly drilled, cleaned, injected, and cured -- the installation variables that govern whether the anchor achieves its published ETA capacity in service.

Key features
Hybrid resin chemistry (vinylester-based) for fast cure and high bond strength
ETA-assessed for cracked concrete (crack width up to 0.5mm)
Approved for installation in dry, damp, water-filled, and diamond-cored holes
PROFIS Engineering design software for AS 5216:2021 capacity calculations
Seismic-qualified per ETA (C1 and C2 seismic performance categories)
Styrene-free formulation suitable for occupied building applications
Service life up to 100 years per ETA assessment
ATA testing notes

How ATA tests Hilti HIT-HY 200-R V3

When testing HIT-HY 200-R anchors, key bond quality indicators include load decay during the proof load hold period (which can reveal progressive bond failure), displacement under load (which can detect meandering hole and incomplete cure), and failure mode classification during ultimate testing (bond vs cone vs combined). The HIT-HY 200-R performs predictably in well-installed applications, making deviations from expected behaviour a reliable indicator of installation defects.
