Ramset ChemSet Maxima Spin Capsule

The Ramset ChemSet Maxima is a capsule-style chemical anchor that uses a glass capsule containing acrylic resin and hardener. The capsule is inserted into the drilled hole, and the anchor stud is driven through the capsule using a rotary-hammer drill, which breaks the glass, mixes the resin and hardener, and seats the rod in a single operation.

Concrete (dry, wet, and flooded)

Capsule anchors offer a controlled, pre-measured volume of adhesive matched to the hole size and rod diameter, eliminating the over-injection and waste associated with injectable mortar systems. The ChemSet Maxima is ETA-certified per EAD 330499 Option 7 and is approved for installation in dry, wet, and flooded holes.

Capsule anchors have specific installation requirements -- the stud must be driven through the capsule with sufficient rotary-hammer energy to fully break and mix the glass, resin, and aggregate components. Incomplete mixing produces a non-uniform bond that proof load testing can detect through displacement anomalies.

Key features
Capsule format for controlled adhesive volume and consistent bond
Spin-in installation with rotary-hammer drill for speed
Acrylic resin chemistry for fast cure
Pre-proportioned components eliminate mixing ratio errors
ETA-certified for dry, wet, and flooded holes
Available in sizes M8 through M24

How ATA tests Ramset ChemSet Maxima Spin Capsule

ChemSet Maxima capsule testing focuses on the completeness of capsule breakage and resin mixing. Incomplete spin-in installation can leave unmixed resin and glass fragments in the bore, reducing bond strength. Proof load testing with displacement monitoring can detect these installation defects. The correct capsule size must be matched to the hole diameter and stud size.
