Ramset DynaBolt Plus
The Ramset DynaBolt Plus is a sleeve expansion anchor designed for medium-duty anchoring in concrete, brick, and block masonry. It uses a sleeve-and-cone expansion mechanism activated by tightening the bolt, which draws the cone into the sleeve and expands it against the bore wall. The DynaBolt is one of the most widely used general-purpose anchors in Australian commercial construction.
DynaBolt Plus anchors are commonly used for bracket mounting, equipment fixing, handrail connections, and light structural applications. Their sleeve design provides a larger bearing area against the bore wall compared to wedge anchors, which can be advantageous in lower-strength substrates and hollow block masonry.
While the DynaBolt is not a heavy-duty structural anchor, it is sometimes specified (or substituted) for connections that warrant proof load verification. Proof testing can confirm whether the installed DynaBolt sustains the required design load in the specific substrate.
