Fischer FIS EM Plus
The Fischer FIS EM Plus is a pure epoxy injection mortar designed for the most demanding structural anchoring applications. Like Hilti's HIT-RE 500, FIS EM Plus offers maximum bond strength, superior creep resistance under sustained loading, and the longest service life of Fischer's chemical anchor range.
FIS EM Plus is specified for anchors subject to permanent tensile loads, overhead installations, large-diameter rebar connections, and applications where the design life of the connection exceeds 50 years. The pure epoxy chemistry provides the lowest creep deformation under sustained load of any Fischer mortar product.
The extended cure time of pure epoxy systems requires careful scheduling coordination between installation and testing. Full cure status can be verified through displacement monitoring during proof loading -- under-cured epoxy exhibits measurably higher displacement than fully cured material.
How ATA tests Fischer FIS EM Plus
FIS EM Plus testing emphasises cure verification. The extended cure time (up to 24 hours at low temperatures) means that premature testing can produce misleading results. Testing should be coordinated with the installation programme to ensure adequate cure time at the recorded ambient temperature before proof or ultimate testing.
